During the powerful storm that struck on 7th June, approximately 10 structures were destroyed, and regrettably, a few minor injuries were reported. On the 9th of June the upper area of the IY community again took a battering during a stormy evening and over 250 families where severely impacted. In the aftermath of this devastating event, Thula Thula stepped in to provide crucial support to those affected. We organized the distribution of much-needed blankets and basic relief items, addressing the urgent needs of the impacted individuals and families.
The destruction caused by the storm was disheartening, but the resilience and unity displayed by the community were truly inspiring.
