Relief Work 2018

Fire in IY 12th February

In the early hours of this morning, a distressing fire incident was reported in the upper area of Donsiyake. Despite the commendable response from the fire and rescue teams, the fire blazed on for several hours due to strong winds and challenging terrain, resulting in the destruction of numerous structures.

Thula Thula were on-site and completed the registration processes within hours to ensure we provide accurate distribution of emergency relief to the affected victims. With the assistance of many community volunteers, we have successfully registered and provided aid to all who fell victim to the devastating fire. Our focus was on addressing immediate needs, providing toiletry packs, clothing, and blankets to a total of 1107 individuals affected by the tragedy.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all our volunteers, donors, and supporters who have played an integral role in making these relief efforts possible. Your generosity and compassion have made a significant impact on the lives of those affected.
