On the evening of 20 March, the community of Hangberg were confronted with a devastating fire. Thanks to the swift response of the dedicated fire and rescue team, the blaze was promptly brought under control, limiting the extent of the damage. Although the incident resulted in the unfortunate destruction of three houses, we are grateful that no injuries were reported.
We reflect on this incident as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and vigilance in safeguarding our homes and loved ones. It serves as a testament to the courage and commitment of our local heroes who risk their lives to protect and serve our community.
